The Best Electricians — You Will Be Very Happy

I can’t say enough great things about current electrical contractors to do them justice. Erica was great with scheduling. Kept them coming back until everything was done as requested. Preston and his coworker were fantastic! So respectful, extremely knowledgeable and perfect work. I can honestly say they were the best electricians I’ve ever had work in my house and I’ve shad many houses. I highly recommend current electrical contractors. You will be very happy!

These Guys Rock!

I will never use a different electrician in Jacksonville ever again. These guys rock! Current electric really went above and beyond to work with me to get some re wiring done so that we could get a stove to work after some wires were blown. Night and day service from these guys compared to anyone else. If you need anything done give them a call. Thanks again to the whole team! We’ll be back!

Do you offer financing?

Yes, you can get your panel replacement and/or service upgrade installed without any upfront cost.

Learn more ➞

How long does a panel replacement or service upgrade take?

Most rewires take 2–5 weeks, depending on the size of your home, accessibility, and the scope of work involved.

We give you an estimated timeline before starting work.

Do I need permits for a rewire?

Yes. These jobs require permits and inspections for your safety and insurance compliance.

We handle all permitting and inspections for you.

How much does a rewire cost?

Most full home rewires range from $15,000 to $30,000, depending on the square footage of the home and accessibility.

We provide a detailed, transparent quote during your consultation.

Do you remove all of the old wiring during a rewire?

Not always. We’ll review this with you during the consultation. Fully removing old wiring typically involves opening more walls and increases labor costs, while safely disconnecting and abandoning it in place minimizes wall damage and is usually more cost-effective.

What if parts of my home aren’t wired to current code (like missing dedicated circuits or GFCI protection)?

As part of the rewire, we bring everything up to current safety standards — including adding required dedicated circuits and GFCI protection where needed — so your entire electrical system is safe, compliant, and properly configured.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes — every installation includes a 1-year warranty on parts and labor (special terms and conditions apply).

Will there be damage to drywall?

If attic or crawl space access isn’t available, we carefully open drywall as needed to install new copper wiring safely and properly.

We’ll clearly explain what areas will be opened before work begins.

Will I be without power during the rewire?

Yes, power will be temporarily shut off to the specific circuits we are actively replacing.

However, we work in phases and rewire one circuit at a time (all wiring connected to the same breaker) to keep the project organized and minimize disruption.

Do I have to move out during a rewire?

No, most homeowners stay in their homes during the project, but you’ll need to prepare by clearing access to outlets, switches, and wall space so our team can work efficiently and safely.

Will my electrical panel need to be replaced?

It depends on how much space and capacity your current panel has; since all breakers must be replaced to meet current code, about 50% of homes require a panel upgrade, and this will be clearly outlined in your estimate.

We’ll Help You Decide If a Rewire Is the Right Move

We’ll inspect your existing wiring, evaluate your home’s electrical safety, and explain your options clearly — whether that’s a full rewire, targeted circuit updates, or a panel upgrade. Get honest answers and a clear plan before making a decision.
